Oneiric is a superb mix of deep rhodes, classic UMM style drums, acid lines, swirling Detroit influenced strings topped off with an spooky drop down featuring an out of breath girl who sounds like she is being chased around a haunted house. 

 'Earth People - Dance', which was created by Joey Lungo aka Pal Joey.  It is a really simple cut and paste house track mainly using a loop from Carl Bean - I Was Born This Way on Motown but it's so effective. 

There are so many basic channel tracks that could make it into the RiL series. However  RiL is all about bringing to attention tracks that may have been missed or went under the radar and some dusty dubs that are new for the next generations.  

Italian producers played a huge role in providing high quality production for the late 70s / early 80s American dance market, including Jago's producer Claudio Donata.

The production on Paper Moon was so far ahead of it's time it's ridiculous.  It stands up sonically against most modern deep house tracks even though it is now nearly 20 years later.

I first heard 'Dance Dance' at the Sound Factory in NYC and it was one of the standout records of the night as Junior Vasquez worked those legendary snares through his crossover.  

Long Island Electrical Systems is the best electronic music label to surface in years in my humble opinion. Instantly collectable, they are a modern version of classic Detroit labels such as Transmat

7 Ways was the second ever release on the legendary Chicago label Dance Mania, produced by Marshall Jefferson during his purple patch in the late 80s.

A Kenny Dope production with Peter Daou on keyboards that was a major influence on me in my bedroom DJ days.

This seminal, timeless piece of music is hardly a lost gem and needs very little introduction to most but it is included early on in the series as it is truly a Record I Love.
