This is the rare and highly sought after first record from Drew Sky on Chicago Underground. It heavily features a sample from Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes - The Love I Lost but is so far removed from the original you would only stumble across it by accident. At the>music:factory, the original home of back to basics I played this nearly every week. It was very much 'in the mix' as a groove with no big breaks or drops but it just set it off perfectly if dropped as people were ready to get their groove on. When it came to mixing it for the>music:factory mix part 2, where you can find it below I noticed it is a really rough, very toppy pressing that I had to work on for ages to sit right. But don't we all just love that style of record from Chicago ? Well we must do as it is still expensive on discogs, be prepared to pay £30 mint but pls don't pay that joker from Belgium the £200 he asks, as of writing this post ! Drew Sky features at 26.15 on the mix below.
